Producdt Description:
The Environmentally Type Gauge Hatch is a specialized safety and environmental protection solution designed to address the critical flaws of conventional tank access points. The primary challenge with a standard gauge hatch is the unavoidable escape of hazardous vapors and Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) into the atmosphere the moment the gauge hatch cover is opened for inspection.
The Environmentally Type Gauge Hatch solves this environmental and safety risk by utilizing an innovative internal sealing chamber. This advanced engineering allows operators to perform essential manual dipping, level measurement, and fluid sampling tasks within a fully enclosed environment. Because the process remains sealed, the tank’s contents are never exposed to the external atmosphere, ensuring 100% vapor containment.
Note:
Under normal circumstances, (fire) breathing valve operating pressure to B shall prevail;
Applicable materials: gasoline, kerosene, diesel, aromatics, sulfur, air and other petrochemical materials;
Environment temperature: -40 °C -+60 °C;
Shell material: HT, AL, A3, 18-8, 304, 304L, 316, 316L.
Flange standards: HG20592-97 PN1.0 (also can be produced according to user specified criteria)

Everything You Need to Know About VOC-Compliant Tank Access
Q1: How does an environmentally type gauge hatch differ from a standard one?
A1: A standard gauge hatch releases tank vapors when opened. This environmental model uses an enclosed mechanism to ensure that the tank remains sealed even during sampling or measurement.
Q2: Will this hatch help my facility meet VOCs emission standards?
A2: Yes. It is specifically designed to eliminate “fugitive emissions” during manual operations, helping you comply with local and international environmental laws.
Q3: Can it be used for manual dipping and sampling?
A3: Absolutely. It is engineered to allow the passage of sampling bottles and dipping tapes while maintaining the vapor-tight integrity of the gauge hatch tank.
Q4: What materials are available for this series?
A4: We offer the hatch in high-grade Carbon Steel, SS304, and SS316, with various gasket options like PTFE or Viton to suit different chemical media.
Q5: Is it difficult to install on existing tanks?
A5: No. Our designs follow standard flange patterns (ANSI, DIN, JIS), making them easy to swap with your current equipment without major tank modifications.
